I was very poor for a lot of my adult life and was shocked when I mentioned a toothache to my medical doctor and he wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic and said “this will clear it up” and it did. No dentist had ever said anything about that and I hadn’t thought about the connection between infection in the jaw and dental pain.
Besides this, I take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in water before meals and haven’t had any dental problems since I started doing that. I’ve been able to avoid going to a dentist for years. I have dental insurance these days through my work, but my experience is that whether or not you have dental insurance, you pay the same amount out of pocket.
